Alright... this is certainly the most involved of all of my deviations in how I have approached it with regards to DA.
:D :D ***(((Please read all of the description)))*** :D :D

Progressive stages of this painting are available in my scraps AS WELL as a series of drawing and painting over the last 10 or so years that have been the pieces that directly influenced this work!

This painting is part of an ongoing series of illustrations dealing with a group of original characters and an original story. Other images in this series are:

VeSUvIus
pORtraItOftHeYOunGArTIStaTWoRK
AnGEl On a MOunTaiN
tUFt

...but this is not a full list; there are more in my gallery.

There IS text that goes with this image... it is partially inspired by lyrics to a song called the Curling Wall by a little known band called "the Moon Seven Times"

"There goes Summer, I don't love the falling leaves;
You can't remeber just how the flames touched me.
I Taunt the dying Bees, They circle my head desperately;
I laugh into your sweater, They'd kill us trying to make it better.
We played a trick tonight, We stayed as I thought we might;
Got around the steely law...
...Paradise was soft.
Road is long, but I would follow anywhere.
You and I when that house was gone, sat among the embers hopping there.
We need the purple sky, we need the violent ride;
We need the curling wall, and the edge of the Fall.
We call the wheat... it shines,
We say what's yours... is mine,
As we race to an accident we made.
We need the absent mother,
We think we need each other;
but you... you gave me a fine parade"

Probably the best thing I've seen all day. It's vibrant and chaotic--so of course I love it. Nice viewpoint, too. :nod:

No, Monkey. You don't need the system. The system needs you.
Such vibrant colors and a bold scheme. Good show.
