...I did one of these; but I wanted to take a moment and say THANK YOU to everyone that has, over the past month, faved my works, watched me, or just saw something they like! This DA thing has been an experience over the years, and I am loving it so far... but you all must forgive me if I take an eternity to reply to comments or if I neglect to reply to faves -- there just isn't enough time in the day to do that, work, go to school, shower, etc... but know I appreciate and am thankful for every time someone even "likes" (in a real, non-facebook way) one of my pieces!!

Thank you Thank you... and here's to a wonderful 2011!!

The job search is still is not going so well... but there is a kernal of good news! A boutique on Newbury St. in Boston (For those who might not know what Newbury St. is like; here's the Wiki [link] ) is now displaying many of my paintings and drawings in their store!! It has the potential to be a great opportunity, so needless to say I am pleased and cautiously hopeful!

Well, the job search is not going so well... not many to be had, it seems with all the cutbacks, lay-offs, downsizing, and hiring freezes going around!

A few people have expressed interest in buying some of my work but as of today nothing has really panned out; I want to take a minute and ask those of you who might be interested in my work to make an offer on any drawing or painting you see in my gallery !!</b>.

I could really use the help! Thanks again and I am sorry to keep ranting about this; it's just not an easy time for anyone.

Some of you may have noticed that I am uploading a bit more work than usual lately... well, that is because I have been "let go" from my job as a result of cutbacks and this terrible economy... so I have a lot more free time. I'm a bit pissed because this is the second time in 2 years I have lost my job a month before Christmas. It seems like everywhere I go companies are in a "hiring freeze" ... and unemployment aint cutting it.

So, like a friend wrote in her journal, "desperate situations call for desperate measures, if anyone is interested in some of my original artwork, please let me know; as in- would pay me in money."

So, I've been in a bit of a rut the past few months. In the interest of getting my drawing hand moving a bit I attacked my sketchbooks today and hopefully I got a few decent ideas out; though I have to admit that my imagination was a bit lax, and most of the sketches were based on photographs other people have taken (sigh); some just for figure reference, some were a drawing of the photo itself ... so keep that in mind; because I'll be uploading them soon.

I hate it when my DA account stalls and has almost no action for days on end... I try to reply to people in a timely manner and comment/fave as I see fit, and otherwise be active... BUT, but my shit has flatlined!! lame.

So, how the hell is everyone now that the summer is over? any suggestions on what type of a painting I should do next??

So... it's officially summer (YAY!!) and you might all have noticed that I am not as active lately; well, when it gets warmer I don't draw and paint as often; I RIDE MY BIKE!!

I have put several 100 miles on just going back and forth to work... which brings me to my point:

I am participating in a 150 mile, 2 day charity ride for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at the end of June and would like to ask any one and everone to support my ride to fight MS by sponsoring as little or as much as they can... you can donate and learn more at the MS link HERE
